Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 17 Aug 1960

Charles Henry Ellis, 83, died at 12:01 Wednesday morning at his home, 823 East
Main street, after a short illness.  Mr. Ellis, a resident of Ionia the past 25
years, was born April 17, 1877 at Big Rapids, the son of Robert and Susan Lypps
Ellis.  He was a plasterer by trade until his retirement a number of years ago.
 He was a member of the Ionia Elks lodge.

Survivors include a son, Robert of Elkhart, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Ayers
of Clarksville and one brother, Guy of Courtney, B.C.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Estep funeral home in Muir with
interment at Lyons cemetery.
