Ellison, 64, died at his home on Pleasant Street about five o’clock Tuesday morning from a heart attack. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday afternoon at the First Methodist Church in Ionia with the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Easton cemetery. The body will be at his home, 217 Pleasant Street, until noon Thursday when it will lie in state at the Methodist church until the services. Mr. Ellison had been a resident of Ionia city for ten years and previously had lived seven years in Northville. For many years he was a famer in Keene Township where he was born. December 1, 1909, he was married to Miss Lula McGraw who survives him. Also surviving is a son, Elroy, Northville, a granddaughter, and two brothers, Harvey of Saranac and Harry of Riverdale. Mr. Ellison was a member of the Ionia Masonic lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star, of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and of the Men’s Brotherhood of the First Methodist Church. He was a former employee of the International Harvester Sales Agency in Ionia.
