Ionia Daily Sentinel -  Saturday, 1 April 1912
Clara, wife of Ray Ellison, of Easton, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. 
Newton, of Ionia, died at her home in Easton Saturday evening about eight 
o’clock.  Consumption from which she has suffered for some time caused her 
death.  She was 22 years of age and was for several years a teacher in the 
county schools and well known to a large circle of friends.  The funeral will 
be attended from the home in Easton Tuesday morning at eleven o’clock and from 
the Methodist church in Ionia at 1:30.  Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, 
Rev. M. M. Callen officiating.
