Ionia County News, 17 Jul 1952

Elmer William Ellison, Center Street, died about seven o’clock Tuesday morning, 
July 8, following a sudden heart attack.  Born July 17, 1874, in Keene 
township, he was 78 years old at the time of his death.  He had lived in Ionia 
about 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Minnie Swain; two sons, William of 
Flint, and Fred of Greenville; two step-daughters and three step-sons; several 
grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd of Ionia, Harvey of Saranac and Harry of 
Riverdale, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Stebbins of Ionia.

Funeral service will be held at two o’clock Friday afternoon.  Burial in Easton 
cemetery.
