Funeral services will be held for him from the home at 2 p.m. Tuesday and at 2:30 from the church. Ellison and his wife were in the north several weeks ago and while there he suffered a heart attack. Brought back to his home he failed to revive and the heart attack proved fatal. Surviving are the wife, Fern; one daughter, Mrs. Clare Lewis, of Muir; and four granddaughters, Virginia Faye, Marian, and Ella Lewis, and Elizabeth Ann Sacha. One daughter, Mrs. Martin Sacha, died about four years ago. Both daughters were former Ionians. One sister, Mrs. Maude Meyers, of Grand Rapids, also survives. ------------------------------- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, November 12, from the Muir Presbyterian church for John C. Ellison who died at his home in Muir Saturday. Rev. H. A. Simpson officiated and interment was held at the Easton cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ronald Banton, Mrs. George Stedman, Mrs. Plynn Woodworth and Mrs. Beatrice Anderson Smith. Bearers were John Todd, Colon Todd, Ray Badder, Lewis Youngs, Wilbur Wiggins and Charles Loper. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Kenneth Stewart, Mrs. Lynn Barrett, Mrs. Dorr Bronson and Mrs. Forrest Roberts. Surviving are the wife, Fern Ellison, a daughter, Mrs. Clair Lewis and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Marian and Virginia.
