The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, February 24, 1926


Albert Ellison, who had been a resident of Ionia for the past nine years, died 
at the residence, 621 Hackett street, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock following 
a stroke which he suffered last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ellison moved to Ionia from their farm in Keene township nine 
years ago.  During the past few weeks Mr. Ellison had been suffering from 
whooping cough, and the stroke followed a severe coughing spell.  He was 70 
years of age.

Besides his widow he is survived by two children, Mrs. Howard Bradford, of 
Grand Rapids, and John Ellison, of Easton township; also three brothers, N. B. 
Ellison, of Keene; Warren Ellison, of Ionia, and Samuel Ellison, of Easton, and 
four sisters, Mrs. Harvey Brown, Mrs. Fred Hunter, Mrs. George Potter, and Mrs. 
Fred Lee, all of Saranac.

The funeral service will be held from the Methodist Episcopal church Friday 
afternoon at 1:30.  Rev. W. F. Kendrick will officiate.
