Ellsworth, 89 of Ionia, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996 at her home. She was born June 24, 1907 in Saranac, the daughter of Alonzo and Emma Walter. She moved to Clarksville, where she also was schooled, as a young girl. She has lived in Ionia for the pat 50 years. She was married to Harry Storch who died in 1945, and later married William Ellsworth in 1953, and he preceded her in death in 1964. She worked at the Chrysler Trim Plant for 26 years as a sewing machine operator and retired in 1973. She was a member of Local #1424 U.A.W. Her hobbies were reading Western books, crocheting, which brought her several ribbons at the Ionia Free Fair, fishing and all types of animals. She is survived by five step-sons: Leon (Carmen) Ellsworth of Ionia, Fred (Linda) Ellsworth of Ionia, Richard Ellsworth of Hastings, Raymond (Irene) Ellsworth of Hastings, and Frank (Mae) Ellsworth of Hastings; three step- daughters: Bonnie (John) Collick of Plainwell, Vera (Don) Clinton of Middleville, and Pearl Browne of Middleville; many grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Katherine Storch, her parents, and 13 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Friday Aug. 16, 1996 at 1 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home. Elder Mike McLenethen of Ionia Jehovah Witnesses will be officiating, and the interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Rich St. Chapel today and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. both evenings. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Rapids Area Hospice.
