A slip of paper bearing the words John Elvert, Ionia, Mich., was found in the dead man’s pocket. John Elvert was a former Berlin farmer, and has four sons still in Ionia county – two residing in this city, and two farmers 2 ½ miles north of Muir. Deceased was described as minus one eye, and this would be a fair clue as to identity. The sons here are anxious to bear the expense of interment, if positive identification is furnished.
