Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Jan 1950

Arthur Elvert, 69, of 821 East Lincoln avenue died at his home Sunday, Jan. 29, 
at 2 p.m. after being in poor health for some time.  He was returned to his 
home Friday from the Ionia County Memorial hospital where he had been a patient 
for about two weeks.

He was born Oct. 24, 1880, in Berlin township the son of John and Marguerite 
Elvert.  He had been a farmer all his life until his retirement a year ago when 
he moved to his present home.

Surviving are the wife, Tilla; a son, Ray; and two grandchildren, all of Ionia; 
and a brother, Frank, of Muir.

Funeral services will be held from Myers funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m.  
Interment will be in the family lot, Portland cemetery.
