Ionia Daily Standard, 27 Jun 1898

Mary Ann Elvert, aged 67, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elwood Smith,
in Berlin, this morning.  She was the widow of Cornelius Elvert, and a pioneer
resident of this city.  She was taken sick about three months ago, and about two
months ago was removed from her home here to the residence of her daughter. 
Funeral from the Catholic church at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.]
