Alisha Sue Elvert, 25, of Lansing, formerly of Ionia, passed away on Sunday, 
July 28, 2013. She was born on June 8, 1988 in Kent County, the daughter of 
Ronald and Bobbie (Fox) Elvert.

Alisha graduated from Ionia High School in 2006, served in the Army Reserves 
377 CS Company 3rd Platoon, and was attending classes to become a Paralegal. 
She loved her son, Gaven, as well as her family, and was always willing to help 
people in a time of need. She also enjoyed listening to rap music.

Preceding her in death were her grandfathers, Robert Elvert and Cecil Furman; 
uncles, Bobby Elvert and Edward Elvert.

Surviving are her son, Gaven; mother, Bobbie Fox; father, Ronald Elvert; 
brothers, Tyler James Fox and Ryan Elvert; sister, Rebecca Elvert; 
grandparents, William and Angela Fox, Emma Furman, and Yvonne Elvert; aunts, 
Jaclyn Henry and Suzanne (Paul) Arnsby; uncles, Joseph (Carolyn) Fox, James 
(Ann) Fox, and Michael (Nancy) Elvert; several cousin and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. , Thursday, Aug. 1, 
2013 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia, with the Rev. Luis Garcia 
presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Easton Township Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lehman 
Funeral Homes, 220 Rich St., Ionia.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund set up 
for Gaven, in memory of Alisha. Online condolences may be made at
