The Ionia County News, Thursday, July 24, 1958
Edward J. Elvert, 37, of Route 1, Ionia, died Sunday, July 13 of a heart 
attack at a cottage near Lake City.  Born May 23, 1921 in Muir, he was the son 
of the late Frank and Luva Elvert.  He was employed at the Ionia State 
Hospital.  

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Frank Elvert; his wife, Lillian, and one 
sister, Mrs. Archie (Ellen) Dettman of Detroit.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 16 at the Muir Presbyterian Church 
with the Rev. Lewis Herrick of Fenwick officiating.  Funeral arrangements were 
made by the Shaw-Rivett Funeral Home in Muir.  Burial was in the Muir Cemetery.
