Robert A. Elvert, age 68, of Ionia, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 
2006 in Port Richey, Florida.  He was born on November 5, 1937 the son of Ray 
and Oneta (Storum) Elvert.  Mr. Elvert was an avid hunter, especially 
bowhunting, and he enjoyed fishing and woodworking.  Robert was a jack of all 
trades. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and they were very 
special to him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert E. and Edward E.  
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Yvonne of Ionia; children, Michael (Nancy) 
Elvert of Columbia, Missouri, Ronald Elvert of Ionia, and Suzanne (Paul) 
Arnsby of Ionia; grandchildren, Shannon (James) Goestch, Scott (fiance´Nikki) 
Elvert, Kirk and Tiffany Arnsby, Alisha Elvert, Ryan Elvert, and Becky Elvert; 
three great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Karl) Russnell of Ionia; many 
nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Mark Johnson, Pastor, at 11 a.m. 
Friday at LeValley United Methodist Church, Ionia.  Interment will take place 
in the spring at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at 
the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 
from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be 
made to the LeValley United Methodist Church, or to the Ionia High School 
Football Field Project, in memory of Mr. Robert A. Elvert.
