Wm. C. Ely, a resident of Muir for a number of years, and postmaster there for 
the past several years, passed away at his home there Sunday afternoon of heart 
disease.  The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon.  He had been 
prominent in local politics for a number of years, being chairman of the 
Republican township committee at the time of his death.
