Kenneth Duane Emelander, aged 55, lifelong resident of Keene Township passed 
away Sept.1, 2008.  He was born May 10, 1953 in Ionia, the son of Stanley and 
Dorothy (Phillips) Emelander. He was employed at American Bumper -  now 
Meridian Automotive for 26 years. Kenneth love to hunt and fish.

He is survived by four children, Victoria (Erik) Thompson of Okinawa, Japan, 
Timothy Emelander of Ovid, Jeffrey (Amber) Emelander of Ionia, and Jeremy 
Emelander of Belding; brother John Emelander of Saranac; sisters Linda 
Emelander of Ionia, Kathyrn (Carl) Werner of Muskegon and Polly Emelander of 
Elkhart, Ind. and grandchildren Benjamin, Cameron, Zachary, Alexander, and 
Allye.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father Stanley, brother Charles and sister 
Debra Lynn.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Pinckney cemetery. The 
family will receive friends and relatives Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the 
funeral home. In lieu of flowers you may make contributions to the charity of 
your choice.
