Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1976
SARANAC- Janice Emelander, 27, died Monday evening at Butterworth hospital in 
Grand Rapids while giving birth to twins who survive.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by the Roetman funeral home in 
Saranac.

Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1976
SARANAC- Janice Ann Emelander, 27, of 1587 Johnson road, died Monday evening at 
Butterworth hospital.

She was born in Grand Rapids February 28, 1949, the daughter of Louis and Helen 
Pedigo Tichelaar.

She had lived in the Saranac area all her life and was a 1967 graduate of 
Saranac high school. She married Garret Emelander June 8, 1967.

A member of the Ada Reformed church, she attended Easton United Methodist 
church.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Helen Green of Ionia; three 
sons, Geoffrey Lee at home and twin baby boys; one brother, Edward Tichelaar of 
Saranac; two sisters; Suellen Anderson of Ionia and Mary Helen Ticelaar of 
Belding and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Tichelaar of Ada and Lucy 
Savell of California.

Services are Friday at 1:30 pm at the Easton United Methodist church with Rev. 
Nolan Williams officiating.

Burial is in Easton cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday 7 to 9 pm.
