Cristy Lynn Emelander, aged 27, of Belding passed away suddenly July 26, 
2007.  She was born August 5, 1979 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Gregory 
Alan and Vicki Lynn (Burden) McCarter. She married Jerry Emelander August 7, 
1998 in Grand Rapids. Cristy was a devoted mom and wife.

She is survived by her loving husband of 8 years Jerry Emelander of Belding; 
children Katlynn, Nathan and Kaylee Emelander; Parents Greg and Vicki McCarter 
of Grand Rapids; Mother and Father in law Gary and Kathy Emelander of Belding; 
grandfather Harold Burden of Newago; great grandmother Laurene Burden of 
Remus; brother Daniel Burden of Grand Rapids; sister Stacy and James Wright of 
Ionia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Pastor Scott Manly officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home. 
Internment at Easton Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make memorial contributions 
to the children of Cristy and Jerry.
