The funeral for Mrs. Fred Emery, well known Orleans township woman who died at
her home suddenly last week, was held from the Orleans Methodist church, Friday
afternoon at 2 o’clock and was largely attended by friends from all over the
community who came to pay their last respects to a friend and neighbor whose
sudden calling was a blow to all.  Rev. Wright officiated at the services and
Mrs. J. M. Berry and Mrs. Clayton Knap sang two of Mrs. Emery’s favorite songs,
“Abide With Me” and “When the Roll is Called up Yonder”.  These two songs were
her special favorites and only the morning before her death had she listened
with pleasure to them while they were being played.  Surviving are the husband
and five children, Mrs. May Mosher and Oscar Emery, of this city, Earl Emery, at
home with the father, Bay Emery of Pontiac and Mrs. Morton Olmstead, of Fenwick.
