Belding Banner, 2 & 9 Mar 1899

Orleans. – Mrs. C. Emlaw died Monday morning.  Another pioneer gone over to the
other side.

Mrs. Clistia Murray was born in Ontario county, New York, January 21, 1830, and
died at her home in Orleans, Ionia county, February 27, 1899.  At the age of 17
she was married to Mr. Samuel Cusser and was his faithful wife for 41 years till
his death.  Seven years later she was married to Isaac Emlaw, who survives her.
 She experienced religion in 1846 and joined the Wesleyan Methodist church,
living a consistent christian life up to her death.  She leaves, besides her
husband, two sons and one daughter, three brothers, three sisters, four
grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  The funeral services were conducted by
Rev. W.H. Bodine, taking his text from Rev. 14:13.
