Helen Emmons, age 69, died Aug. 6, 2005, at Metron of Allegan.  She was born 
Sept. 5, 1935, in Ionia, to Floyd and Mildred (Badder) Emmons.

Helen attended school in Ionia.  She worked for several years at Middleville 
Engineering and sold produce in Delton.  She enjoyed working around her home, 
taking care of her horses, working in her garden, traveling and spending time 
with family.

The family includes siblings, Lena and Bill Jenks of Ionia, Barry and Bonnie 
Emmons of Cedar Springs, Ward and Caroline Emmons of Dorr, Floyd Emmons of 
Belding, and Leonard and Elizabeth Emmons of Wright, Wyoming; step-sister Betty 
and Robert Sly of Sheridan; friends who she raised and had adopted her as their 
mother: Richard Gernhart of Martin, Timothy and Annette Bailey of Plainwell, 
and Sue Yoster of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Agnes, Maxine and Ruth; and 
brothers Elton and Gordon.

Learn more about Helen and visit with her family Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
at the RDMG Life Story Funeral Home, Plainwell Chapel, where her service will 
be on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
