Emmons, route 3 Lake Odessa, who died late Friday evening will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Pickens-Koops funeral chapel, Lake Odessa. Subsequent Publication, Monday, November 24, 1975 Services for Oba O. Emmons, 74, were conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel at Lake Odessa. Rev. Gerald Laing officiated and burial was at Lakeside cemetery. Mr. Emmons died Friday night at the Riverside center, Ionia, after being a patient 13 months. He was born March 5, 1901 at Elmer, Mo., the son of James and Rose French Emmons. May 10, 1921, he was married in Bushnell, Ill., to Maude Preston moving to Michigan from Colchester, Ill., in February of 1949 and lived on a farm east of Woodbury. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Grand Ledge and the Farm Bureau of Eaton county. Among his survivors are his wife, Maude; daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bashore of Grand Ledge and son, Lowell of Lake Odessa; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Butler and Mrs. Golda Butler and a brother, Clyde Emmons, all of Atlanta, Mo.
