Ionia Sentinel Standard - July 16, 2011

Richard Lee Emmons, 32, formerly of Ionia, passed away on July 12, 2011.

He is survived by his parents, Lisa Reeder of Ionia and Matt Emmons of White 
Cloud; brother, Craig Emmons (Krystal) of Ionia; sister, Katy Emmons (Philip) 
of Ionia; nieces Heaven and Alanah; future nephews, Wyatt and Seth; 
grandparents, Judy Reeder of Ionia, Larry Reeder of Ionia, and June and Nick 
Ivanovich of Saranac; many aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of friends 
and loved ones. 

Rick will be remembered as a free spirit with a passion for snowboarding, the 
outdoors, his love of building trades and his rapport with children and animals.

Risk was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dee Reeder in 2007; grandfather, 
Chuck Emmons in 2002; grandfather, Richard (Dick) White in 2004; great 
grandmother Oletha (Grammy) Reeder in 2009; and uncle, Mark Emmons in 1989.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. 
Interment Tuttle Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives at the 
funeral home in Ionia Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
