Emmons was conducted on Sunday afternoon at the late home on East Main Street, 1:30 o’clock. Rev. R. B. Chapman chose his text from 1st Cor., 15:19, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” A text more fitting could not have been found in praise of one whose Christian life has been a guide not only to her family but to all those with whom she came in contact, and whose Christ-like faith will reach far beyond this earthly life. Deceased was 54 years of age and is survived by a mother, three sisters, two brothers, a husband, a daughter Mae and son Claude. The many beautiful floral offerings were a testimony of the high esteem of the deceased. Burial was in Saranac. Mesdames John Hodgkins and Ray Colwell furnished the music at the home. The pall bearers were, John and Elmer Faulkner, Melvin Walters, Frank Earl, Joseph Denman and Jay Faulkner.
