Patricia A. Emmons, 72, of Fenwick, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Spectrum
Health Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids.  She was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Belding,
the daughter of Kenneth Luce and Frieda I. (Hawkins) Niemi.  She married Jack B.
Emmons on May 16, 1981, in Sheridan.  Mrs. Emmons was a longtime resident of the
Fenwick area and was a member of the Greenville American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Jack B. Emmons; her children, Carol and Mike
Rossman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Steven Ledin and Kathy Struble of Fenwick,
Keith and Joan Ledin of Sheridan, Kevin Ledin of Greenville; five grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; and one sister Emma Jean Niemi and Dusty Simmons of
Raleigh, N.C.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial graveside services will be at a later date.  Final interment will be in
Clear Lake Cemetery, Fenwick.  There will be no visitation, as cremation has
already taken place.  For those desiring to do so, the family has suggested
memorial considerations to the American Cancer Society.  Simpson Family Funeral
Home, Sheridan, is honored to serve the Emmons and Ledin families with care and
compassion during their time of loss and bereavement.
