                                FLOYD H. EMMONS

Floyd H. Emmons, age 64, of R-2 Fenwick, died September 30 at Belding Community 
Hospital after an illness of 16 months.

Mr. Emmons was born in Ionia, Mich. May 19, 1901 and was a life long, resident 
of the Ionia County Area and before his illness was employed by the Detroit 
Gasket & Mfg.Company of Belding.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Sidney Congregational Church, 
with the Rev. Leo Swank officiating. Burial was in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia 
County.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; four sons, Floyd Jr., of Belding Ward of Dorr, 
Mich., Barry in the Armed Services in Hawaii and Leonard Emmons of Tacoma, Wash. 
four daughters,Mrs. Agnes Bailey, Miss Helen Emmons, both of Plainwell, Mich., 
Mrs.Lena Lewis of Ionia, Mrs. Maxine Higbee of Belding; two step-daughters, 
Mrs.Betty Jean Sly of Sheridan, Mrs Paula Nash of Gowen, one adopted daughter, 
Miss __ Bailey of Plainwell; four brothers, Clyde and Herbert of Lake, Harry of 
Detroit, Russell if Sidney; two sisters,Mrs.Edit Revis of Holt, Mrs.Margaret 
Kirvan of Remus; 31 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr.Emmons reposed at the Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home, and was taken to the 
church at noon Monday.
