Brad passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at home with family. Brad graduated from Lakewood High School in 1967 and worked construction until he was drafted into the Army into the army in 1969. He served 18 months in Vietnam with the 11th Calvary, also known as the Legendary Blackhorse. Brad was honorably discharged in 1971 with several medals including a combat infantry Badge and a Purple Heart. Brad married Janet Evans in 1974 and shortly after they bought a barn and restored it into their home.Brad was very proud of the home he created where they lived for 51 years. He worked construction until his later years, then he took up gun smithing and opened Ace Gun Shop in Freeport. Many people visited his shop just to see all of his trophy mounts on display. Brad enjoyed hunting trips all over and especially in Africa where he went numerous times. He also enjoyed fishing, trapping, wood working, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and his 11th Calvary anual reunions with his daughter Sara. Brad leaves behind his wife Janet of 51 years; two daughters, Sara Evans and Cyndi (Wade0) Curry; son Lanson Endres; two granddaughters, Adrianne and Karianne Curry; three sisters, Deb Bump, Diann Endres, and Janet (Mark) Wilson along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Noon at the Freeport Cemetery.Following the service, guests are invited to the Freeport Community Center for a luncheon and time of sharing. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army and the American Legion post 45.
