The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, January 15, 1948
Mrs. Marie Endres, 81, of 424 Center street died at 2 a.m. Thursday in the 
Ionia Convalescent home after being a patient there for a week.  She was born 
in France August 30, 1866, and had been a resident of Ionia for many years.  
Mrs. Endres was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church and of the Rosary 
society.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Emma O’Mara, of Lake Odessa and a niece, Mrs. Anna 
Boyle of Grand Rapids.  

Rosary will be said at Myers funeral home Friday evening at 8 o’clock with 
funeral services to be held Saturday morning at SS. Peter and Paul church with 
interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Saturday, January 17, 1948

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Endres, 81, who died at the Ionia Convalescent 
home Wednesday, January 14, were held at 9:00 a.m. at the SS. Peter and Paul 
church.  The Rev. Fr. John S. Fons conducted the services with interment in 
Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Her bearers were Thomas O’Mara, Sr., Thomas O’Mara, Jr., Laurence O’Mara, 
Bernard Majinski, Peter O’Connor and Frank Wizorek.

Out of town relatives attending the services were Mary and Tony Snyder of 
Otisco, Mrs. Marie Boyle and son, Edward, and Mrs. Roy Slowinski of Grand 
Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hansbarger and Roger, Miss Mary O’Mara and Mrs. 
Lloyd Haskins of Lake Odessa.

Surviving relatives of Mrs. Endres are Mrs. Frank O’Mara of Lake Odessa, Mrs. 
Floyd Griley of Phoenix, Ariz., William Endres of Long Beach, Calif., and 
several nieces and nephews.
