Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 5 Apr 1947

Mrs. Jake Engelbert died Good Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at her home on 
Alderman street in Belding following a stroke suffered three weeks ago.

Born April ?, 1866, in Miriam district, she was the daughter of George and 
Theresa Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Jake; two sons and a daughter by a former 
marriage, George and Edward Scheidt of Belding and Mrs. Cecelia Steven? of 
Muir; one step-daughter, Mrs. Linnian Englebert of Greenville and five 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from Ellis funeral home.  Announcement of the 
date will be made later.
