Carson City Gazette, 26 Sep 1919

Hubbardston - Mrs. Julia Hoge received word that her sister, Mrs. Joseph 
England of Lansing was very sick and went at once, but she only lived about two 
hours after Mrs. Hoge arrived.  Mrs. Carol England was born Oct. 13, 1852, in 
Clinton Co. and was married to Joseph England June 16, 1872.  Three children 
were born to this union, two having preceded her in death.  Her remains were 
brought to the home of sister Saturday evening and the funeral held from the M. 
E. church Sunday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Edward Humphrey of Carson City, 
officiating.  She leaves to mourn, her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Maude 
Murdock, of Lansing and four grandchildren and a large circle of friends.  The 
floral offerings were many and beautiful.  She was laid to rest in the West 
Side cemetery.
