Services Wed. for Eugenia England

Mrs. Eugenia England, 86, of Lansing and former Woodland resident, passed away 
Sunday afternoon at the Lansing General Hospital. She had been at a rest home 
and was hospitalized only a short time. 

She was born in Woodland, Nov. 16, 1885, the daughter of Albert and Barbara 
(Wonderlich) Burkle, and married Devere England, July 28, 1909. They had lived 
in Washington, D.C. for more than 30 years while he was employed by the U.S. 
Government Postal Department. Following his retirement they resided in St. 
Joseph for 16 years and he passed away Oct. 27, 1966.

Mrs. England was a member of the First Congregational Church of St. Joseph.

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Carl (Ethlyn) Burkle of Woodland and 
brother-in-law, Jerry England of Carlsbad, Calif.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel, Lake 
Odessa. Rev. Ed. Libby officiated, with burial in Woodland Memorial Park.
