T. England died at his home near the central school building at 2:30 Tuesday morning of heart disease, having been confined to the house since the second week in January. Rev. W. W. Slee of the M. E. church, is to officiate at the funeral services, to be attended from the late residence this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Mr. England was born in Belleville, Canada, January 15, 1848, having just passed his 66th birthday. His father’s family settled in Hubbardston, Michigan in 1866 and it was here that he married Miss Nettie Chick, who survives him. Mr. and Mrs. England moved to Portland 23 years ago, where they have since resided. Since locating here Mr. England had filled various capacities in local factories, and was a steady worker. Deceased was the father of four children, of which number but two survive. Fred V. England is a resident of Portland while Miss Gladah England is one of the teachers in the Orleans, Indiana public schools. In addition to these relatives there are three brothers and three sisters, John of Illinois, Joseph of Lansing, James England and Mrs. Edith Bennett of Hubbardston, Mrs. Drusilla Kipp of Greenville, and Mrs. Matilda Coryell of Carson City.
