Ionia County News – Thursday, 11 April 1946

Funeral service for Mrs. Kittie Engleman, 89, who died Monday morning, April 
8, at her home on N. Depot St., was held from Stone funeral home Wednesday 
afternoon.  Rev. Wayne Davis officiated and burial was in Highland Park 
cemetery.  She had been an invalid for several years.  Kittie Pickett, 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pickett, who came to Ionia in 1854, was born 
here March 7, 1857.  She was the widow of Asa Engleman, veteran railroad 
engineer.  Mr. Engleman died about 15 years ago.  She leaves no near relatives.
