Daily Sentinel-Standard - Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1947

Mrs. Laura Engelman, 507 Prospect avenue, S.E., Grand Rapids, died February 24 
at her home. She was the widow of Marcus Engelman, who for many years was in 
business in Ionia.

She was born July 23, 1862, in Orleans County, New York, the daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Sephirim Larivier. At the time of her birth her father was fighting in 
the Civil war. Twenty-five years ago with her husband she moved from Ionia to 
Grand Rapids.

Surviving are a half brother, George Regis, of Baldwin Park, California; and 
two nieces, Mrs. Robert Comstock of Fenwick and Mrs. Pricilla Hays of Lose 
Angeles, California.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, at 11 a.m. from the Myers 
funeral home with the Rev. Adam Westmaas officiating. Interment will be at the 
Highland Park cemetery.
