Lake Odessa Wave
          RITES HELD FOR ELIZABETH ENGLISH
   Mrs. Elizabeth Marie English, 52, of 37445 Mound Rd., Sterling Heights passed
away early Thursday at the Crittenton Hospital, Rochester, after and extended illness.
   She was the daughter of Glenn and Mildred (Fink) Myers and was born June 24, 1922
at Lake Odessa and graduated from the Lake Odessa High School in 1940.
   She married Edward R. English at Florence, S. Carolina, July 26, 1942 and before
moving to Sterling Heights they had resided at York, Reading and Great Bend, Pennsylvania.
   Mrs.English attended the Congregational Church and with her husband owned and
operated the Village Upholstery and Furniture Shop at Warren.
   Surviving are her husband;  one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth R. Catron of Sterling
Heights;  three sons, Glenn of Detroit, Douglas of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Edward Jr., at 
home:  one granddaughter and two sisters, Mrs. John (Doris) Campanile of Lansing and Mrs. 
Harry (Margaret) Loveless of Charlotte.
   Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel
at Lake Odessa.  Rev. Gary Evans officiated with burial in the Lakeside Cemetery.
