Enz, aged 90, of Woodland, was called Home late Saturday evening, February 21, 2009. Ethel was born in Clarksville, MI on November 2, 1918 to Arthur and Josephine (Heaven) Potter. She graduated from Woodland High School and was united in marriage to Carl Enz on October 21, 1936. Ethel had been a long-time member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church, and most recently was a member of the Nashville Baptist Church. Ethel loved to be a part of the church nursery caring for the children. Ethel is survived by her children, Carlene (Dennis) Bates of Cary, IL, Duane "Whitey" (Carol) Enz of Woodland, Larry (Brenda) Enz of Russellville, TN, and Linda (Norm) Myhre of Hanover Park, IL; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister, Evaline (Vernon) Macy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Enz; brothers, Richard Potter and Charles Potter; and great grandson, James Enz. The funeral service was held at the Koops Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27. Burial was in Woodland Memorial Park. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Nashville Baptist Church, or the Barry Community Hospice.
