ORPHA J. ENZ-DESGRANGES
Woodland,MI - Orpha J. Enz-Desgranges, age 98, has gone to be with her Lord on
August 9, 2016, at her residence at Ionia Green Acres.

Orpha was born November 16, 1927 to John and Anna (Scriber ) Buck on a farm in
Carlton Center. She attended school in Carlton center and high school in Woodland. While 
attending Woodland High School she met her husband, Ford Enz, and they were married
for 62 years and lived and  raised their family on a farm in Woodland.

Orpha was very active in 4-H as a child and continued as an adult leader in 4-H for
30 years. She had a special love for working with young people through 4-H, church and
her 20 years working for Lakewood Public Schools. After retirement, Orpha and Ford
enjoyed traveling and spending time in Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ford Enz, along with husband Paul
Desgranges whom she married in 2000; grandson, Ron Walker; granddaughter-in-law, Kathy Enz;
son-in-law, Jack Ludwig; step-daughter, Diana Wilfong; brother, Oscar; half-brothers,
Otho, Tait, Zene, Dale; half-sisters, Arlie, Mina, Gertrude, Lurana, Esther and Iris.

Orpha is survived by sister, Achsah and her children, Annabelle Ludwig of Champaign,
IL., Ronald (Norine)Enz of Lake Odessa, Noreta (Joe) Otto of North East, PA., Jan (Jerry)
Yonkers of Woodland, David (Laurie) Enz of Grass lake; step-daughter, Paula Carter
of Lake Odessa; along with former exchange student Kaisu from Finland with whom she has
stayed in close contact with since 1969 and always considered family. She had many 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church on Saturday, Aug.
13, 2016 at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Orpha to Lakewood United Methodist
