Lake Odessa Wave - August 28, 1980
             ROY ERB
   LAKE ODESSA - Roy Erb, 75, of 7371 Tischer in Lake Odessa died on Aug. 21 at
Blodgett Hospital in Grand 
Rapids.
   He was born May 6, 1905 in Campbell Township the son of Austin and Louisa Weaver
Erb.
   He attended Bowne Center School and married Dorothy Haney on June 15, 1929 in
Ionia.
   After their marriage, he worked for Fisher Body in Lansing and later was a
Standard Oil agent in Delton from 
1929-34.
   He moved to a farm near Lake Odessa in September of 1935.
   He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Lake Odessa.
   He was a member of the Barry County Farm Bureau and was the former director of
the Michigan Jersey 
Cattle Club.
   Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; one son, Arnold of Lake Odessa; four
grandchildren; two brothers, Ira of 
Saranac and Jay of Freeport; and one sister, Mrs. Iva Birman of Lake Odessa.
   One brother, Leo, preceded him in death.
   Funeral services were held on Aug. 23 from the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in
Lake Odessa with the Rev. 
Bill Stevens officiating.
   Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
