Mrs. Jenny O. Erickson, 83, of Lake Odessa, died Saturday morning at Kent 
Community Hospital in Grand Rapids. She had been hospitalized since February 14.

Born November 2, 1889, at Allegan, she was the daughter of Gustav and Sarah 
Johnson Sandahl and a graduate of Allegan high school.  March 3, 1923, she was 
married to Axel Erickson of Alto and was a resident of Lake Odessa area about 
30 years moving there from Saranac. She was a member of West Berlin Wesley in 
church.

Surviving besides the husband are two sons SSgt Elmer S. Erickson, stationed 
with the Army at Stuttgart, Germany, and Ronald P. Erickson of Lake Odessa; 
eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Marle Berines of 
St. Thomas, Canada; Mrs. Linda McMullen of Allendale.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens Funeral Chapel in Lake 
Odessa. Rev. Alvin Barker will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside 
Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Cancer society and 
contributions may be left at the funeral home.
