Ernsberger, 63, of 1501 Downey street, Flint, died Saturday at 10 a.m. at McLeren General hospital at Flint, where he had been a patient for nine days. An auditor and accountant for Michigan Department of Revenue, he had resided in Flint since 1919. Mr. Ernsberger was born May 20, 1894 in Belding, the son of Charles and Anna (Jackson) Ernsberger. After moving to Lake Odessa with his parents, he attended Lake Odessa school and later married Alma Shepard of Lake Odessa, September 1, 1914. They lived in Grand Rapids for about five years prior to moving to Flint. Mr. Ernsberger was a member of Malta Masonic lodge of Grand Rapids and was a charter member of Lost Lake Woods Country club in Flint. He attended Christian Science church in Flint and during summers, while in Lake Odessa, attended the Congregational church. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lopez of Coral Gales, Fla. and Mrs. Ruth Carney of Grosse Pointe Woods, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ernsberger of Lake Odessa and five grandchildren. Body is at the Pickens funeral home in Lake Odessa, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. A.J. Pitman will officiate.
