Services Held for Anna M. Ernsberger

Mrs. Anna M. Ernsberger, 90, one of the oldest residents of the area passed away
Friday morning at the Sunset Acres Rest Home near Hastings, after a long
illness. She had been at the home for the past five months.  

A native of Campbell township, Ionia county, she was the daughter of Edward and
Mary Jackson and was a lifelong resident of the area.  She married Charles
Ernsberger in 1893 and for the past 52 years they have lived in their home on
Tupper Lake St.

A life member of the Lake Odessa Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 315, she
was also active in the Womens Fellowship of the Congregational church and Womens
Society of Christian Service of the Methodist church and attended the Methodist
church as long as her health permitted.

Surviving are her husband Charles, four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with
burial in Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. Paul Bennehoff officiated.
