ALMA ERNSBERGER PASSES AWAY Mrs. Alma Ernsberger, 72, former local and Flint resident, passed away early Sunday at a Detroit Nursing home where she had been a patient since December 12, 1963. A native of Ionia county, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Eva Shepard. She was a resident of Flint for a number of years and her husband Burton passed away May 25, 1957 while living at Flint. Mrs. Ernsberger was a legal secretary and income tax expert and a former public school teacher. She was past president of the Federation of Women's clubs, member and officer of the Progressive club of Flint, and a member of the Lost Lake Woods club of Lincoln, Michigan. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Ruswell (Ruth) Carney of Grosse Pointe and Mrs. Mary Lopez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; six grandchildren and two brothers David Robinson of Spring Lake, New Jersey and Chester Shapard of Grand Rapids. Mrs. Ernsberger was the daughter-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ernsberger of Lake Odessa. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens funeral chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
