She was born July 5, 1947 in Ionia, the daughter of Wilfred Wieczorek and Jean Benedict. She married Gale Ernst on Nov. 12, 1982 in Ionia. She has been a resident of Stanton since 1993 after living in Orleans. She graduated from SS. Peter and Paul School in 1965, was formerly employed at Fred’s Food Centre in Ionia and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Gale Ernst; grandmother Lois Benedict, of Ionia; mother and step-father Jean and James Osborne, of Ionia; step-daughter Michelle (Matt) Decker, of Ionia; step-granddaughters Casey Ernst, of Stanton and Amanda Bishop, of Muir; mother-in-law Marge Burnham, of St. Johns; father-in-law John Ernst, of St. Johns; sisters: Betty (Glenn) Nemetz, of Frederick, Pat (Harry) Roundtree, of Red Rock, Ariz. and Judy (Patrick) Simon of Pewamo; and brothers: Bill (Jane) Wieczorek, of Sheridan, Allen Wieczorek, of Tallahassee, Fla., Doug Wieczorek, of Ionia and Tom (Carolyn) Wieczorek, of Ionia. She was preceded in death by her father Wilfred Wieczorek in 1974 and step-daughter Marcy Ernst in 1993. Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 11, 1995 at 11 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Hall and Rev. Kendall Harger officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Sheridan and visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home in Sheridan. Memorial contributions may be made to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
