Ionia Standard, 28 Jul 1911

The death of Fred Erridge occurred Fri. morning at the residence at 639 Bayard 
street, at 7:30, after several weeks illness from a wound developing blood 
poisoning.  Mr. Erridge ran a sliver into his right hand, and not into the foot 
as at first reported.  The funeral will be held Monday at 2 o’clock from the 
residence, interment in Highland Park.  Mr. Erridge was 56 years of age and had 
been a resident of this city many years.

The funeral of Fred Erridge was attended on Monday at two o’clock from the late 
residence on Bayard St.  The local lodge of Oddfellows, of which deceased was a 
member, attended the funeral in a body.  Rev. E. E. Branch officiated.  The 
remains were borne to their last resting place in Highland Park cemetery by 
Fred H. Williams, F. A. Hall, John W. Clement, Fred H. Carpenter, Walter 
Robertson and Chas. Worden, all members of the fraternity of Oddfellows.
