Ionia Sentinel Standard - July 8, 2011

Frederick L. Erridge, age 78 of Ionia passed away July 6, 2011 in Ionia.

He was born Oct. 21, 1932 in Ionia, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Essex) 
Erridge. Fred married Shirley Smith Sept. 7, 1957 in Lyons. He absolutely loved 
model airplanes. He was a lifetime member of Ionia Model Airplane Club and he 
loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR and U of M.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Shirley of Ionia; sons, Roger 
(Debbie) Erridge of Saranac and Scott Erridge of Ionia; grandchildren, Sheila 
(Paul) Whitley of Detroit, Nicole Gavin Kasper of Battle Creek, Brandon 
(Stepany ) Westbrook of Montana and Cody Westbrook of California; great 
grandchildren, Amanda Whitley and Vincent Westbrook; brothers Bob (Mary) Lytle 
of Lake Odessa and James (Shirley) Lytle of Lyons; sister-in-law, Shereen Lytle 
of Ionia; and special friends, Bob Sylvester of Ann Arbor and Lois and Lee 
Bentt of Ionia. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dick Lytle in 1996.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 11 at noon at Ft. Custer Cemetery 
in Augusta, Mich. With Kevin Kisinger officiating. Arrangements by Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia.
