The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Wednesday, August 9, 1911
James Erridge, age 31, a car inspector at Edmore was run over by local freight 
210 Tuesday about eleven o’clock and died of his injuries in the evening about 
nine o’clock.  Erridge was under a freight car making repairs when the local 
backed in.  Before he could get out he was struck.  One leg and arm were 
crushed and he was injured internally.

Erridge leaves a widow and a four year old boy in Edmore and a brother, Wm. 
Erridge and other relatives here.  Fred Erridge, a cousin, Wm. Erridge, a 
cousin, Mrs. Fred Erridge, an aunt and Mr. and Mrs. John Bunderson, uncle and 
aunt live here.  Mr. Erridge has been in Edmore about five years and formerly 
lived here.  His uncle Fred Erridge died recently as a result of injuries 
received while repairing cars.  The funeral will be held at Edmore Thursday 
morning.
