William S. Erridge, 81, of 1177 East Riverside Drive passed away at the Eckert 
Nursing Home Thursday, February 18, at 5 p.m. where he had been a patient for 
the past week.  he had been ill for the past five years.  

September 16, 1903 he was married to Luella Stedman.  He worked at the P.M. 
car shops for 28 years then moved to a farm in Lyons township where he lived 
for 16 years.  He has been living in his present home in South Ionia since 
1945.

He is survived by his wife, Luella, and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Conran of 
Conklin, and one nephew, Carlyle Erridge of Stanton.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton funeral home Saturday at 
2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Court O. Adams officiating.  Interment will be in 
Balcom cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 
to 9 p.m.

Funeral services for William S. Erridge of 1177 East Riverside Drive, who died 
Thursday afternoon, were held Saturday, February 20 at 2:30 at the Boynton 
funeral home.  The Rev. Court O. Adams officiated.  Interment was in Balcom 
cemetery.  Bearers were Jack Bowerman, Earl Brooks, Harvey Jackson, Guy 
Edington, George Greenleaf and Edmund R. Chapin.

Those who attended the services from out of town were Carlyle Erridge of 
Stanton; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stedman, Mrs. Bertha Stedman, Mr. and Mrs. Fred 
Stedman, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chambers of Detroit; Miss Grace Myers and Mrs. 
Joe Murphy of Owosso; Mrs. Emma Stedman of Crystal; Guy Comstock of Fenwick, 
and Mrs. Alice Greenleaf and George Greenleaf of Lansing.
