Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Apr 1973

Roman M. Esch, 56, of Ionia died early Monday morning at Ionia County Memorial 
hospital following a short illness.  Born October 24, 1916, in Westphalia, he 
was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Esch.

He was employed at AO Smith Company retiring three years ago due to ill health.

He was a veteran of World War II, member of Ionia Moose lodge, life member of 
Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of Usher’s club of the church and Knights of 
Columbus.

Surviving are five brothers, Leon of Perrington, Elmer, Francis and Chester, 
all of Lansing; Arthur of Fenwick; sister, Mrs. Frank Lehman of Dearborn.

Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul church with 
interment at St. Johns the Baptist cemetery, Hubbardston. 

Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Myers-Roetman funeral home.
