Esch, 42, of Kinley Road, Fowler, died Nov. 28 at Lansing General Hospital. She was born in Ionia on July 2, 1941 to Leo A. and Theresa (Fox) Spitzley. She was married to Louis Esch in Portland on Aug. 31, 1963 and lived all of her married life in Fowler. She was employed by Farm Bureau in Lansing and was a member of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler. She is survived by her husband, Louis; one son, Kevin, at home; four daughters, Stacy, Nancy, Beth and Lisa, all at home; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Leo A. Spitzley of Portland; two sisters, Joan and Wilma Schmitz of Westphalia; seven brothers, Leo Spitzley Jr., Robert, Harold, Alvin and David, all of Mulliken, and Phillip and Roy of Sunfield. She was predeceased by a brother, Jerome. The Rosary was recited at the Goerge Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes. Services were held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fowler on Thursday morning, Dec. 1, with the Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley officiating. Interment was made at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
