Ionia Sentinel Standard, 20 Mar 1965

Mrs. Mable Eshelman, 83, of route two, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at Ionia County
Memorial hospital several hours after admittance.  She was born in Ionia
December 1, 1881, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cassius Bowerman and spent her
entire life in the vicinity.  She was married to John Eshelman in 1901 and he
died in 1931.  Mrs. Eshelman was a member of Minnie Howard club, charter member
of Social Hour club and member of First Christian church.

She is survived by two nephews, Dan Bowerman of Grand Haven and Jack Bowerman of
Ionia; also several cousins.

Rev. James Kendall of First Christian church will officiate at funeral service
at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at Boynton funeral home followed by interment at
Highland Park cemetery.
