B. Essex Thursday morning at 11 o’clock, their only daughter Eunice Violetta passed away after a sickness of about a year which developed into consumption. The family moved here about two years ago, the daughter having preceded them a few months before to work in the R. S. Co’s. mill, later she worked in the new mill until her health would no permit it longer. The deceased was born near Sheridan in 1883 and was 19 years 5 months and 15 days old. She was an excellent young lady loved and respected by a large circle of acquaintances and especially liked by the employees of the mills where she labored. Before coming here she was instrumental in organizing the C. F. society at Shiloh and for two years was its secretary. The funeral services were held in Shiloh Sunday, a brief service being conducted at the residence in the morning by Rev. J. E. Butler. The large profusion of flowers which covered the casket attested to the esteem in which she was held. She leaves her parents and two brothers Erwin V. and Elmer L. Essex. Interment took place in Pine Lake cemetery.
